Are repairs under warranty?

We stand behind our work. If you experience any trouble after a repair, please reach out right away so we can determine if it's related to the recent repairs of your vehicle. We want to make sure you're taken care of.

What are supplements and how do they work?

Sometimes during disassembly we find damage that was hidden. When this happens, we will disassemble the vehicle entirely, make a document of all the damaged parts, and send that documentation off to insurance. When supplemental damage is found the original Repair Plan and timeline change. The changes will include parts availability, how long it takes insurance to review and approve the supplemental damage, and the rotation of completing the new repairs. Until all of those boxes are checked, we will have a new estimated timeline.

How long does it take to get an estimate?

Repair Plans are done in two parts. The first portion is when you bring the vehicle in, we take our necessary photo documentation, and collect the preliminary paperwork needed to get things started.

The second portion of the plan is when we source parts, determine what's necessary to complete the repair, and build the template for returning your vehicle to the specifications of the manufacturer. This step can take anywhere from half a day to a few days, depending on the amount of damage and the panels impacted. You are not present during this half of the plan building.

What's the difference between an estimate and a repair plan?

The word Estimate is an outdated industry term used by old body shops when they had to guess at what it would take to repair a vehicle. In the industry today we use the most advanced technologies to determine exactly what's needed to repair your vehicle to OEM specifications. Making it a Repair Plan instead of an estimate. We don't believe in guessing when it comes to the safety of you and your passengers.

What if I'm unhappy with the out-of-pocket costs associated with my repairs? What can I do?

There's nothing worse than finding out after you've had an accident that you may have out of pocket costs that exceed the total of your deductible. We often compare it to a co-pay, similar to what happens with medical insurance, but if you weren't aware that kind of thing happened, or weren't expending additional out of pocket costs, it can be daunting. Please stop by the body shop so we can discuss your options with you. Having an accident is stressful enough. We want the rest of the process to be as smooth as possible for you.

When is my deductible due?

Deductibles (and any other costs associated) are due the day the vehicle is picked up. A vehicle cannot leave the Luverne Body Shop property until the balance is paid entirely. This includes any original insurance checks issued directly to you. To avoid your vehicle being tied up in the shop after it's completion, we recommending signing a Direction To Pay at the body shop so the insurance company handling your claim can mail the check directly to the body shop.
